Electa
Electa is an extra division of the choir created in selected years when chorister numbers and experience warrant it. It consists of a small number of high-school-age choristers drawn from the concert choir, and it offers these choristers a chance to hone their skills at a high level. Electa choristers must be regular and dedicated members of the concert choir; they have all achieved a high level of musicianship; their schedule of rehearsals and performances is arranged by consultation with all members; and they are expected to prepare their music ahead of rehearsals, which are designed to polish and shape excellent performances. Entry to Electa is by invitation of the music director.
